In the morning we were called by the new Apatar to the parade ground, but were 7 minutes late. After running rounds and marching we were to be inspected and to call, name, rank and reason of dishonour. Later on the strike team went on Operation Thunderstruck, with me staying back on the base. I was being cooked in my gear, though it was great for in space, it is horrible for in the heat.

After a while I joined Maati and Nimuel in IT. I listened with them to the communication of Thunderstruck. They had to come back unable to finish the mission due to NBC mines. A second attempt was planned later in the afternoon after the Pendzal provided NBC protection kits. I talked with Sasha and Katherina to have the NBC kits delivered to the shuttle.

A few moments later a call came in about an enemy sniper in the woods, the Pendzal and Aquila dispatched teams to eliminate the sniper with the 716 joining them.

We went into the woods and encountered Taga and Mai in the woods with Mai laying on the ground heavily wounded. We took them back to base with our orders to save them while Aquila and Pendzal were still handling the enemy. We brought Taga and Mai to the medbay. I went outside again to help the others that came in and needed to be brought to the medbay. It became Quiet again and operation ‘’Thunderstruck’’ was postponed, because the shuttle was damaged. We had to wait.

During the wait we were called outside to the parade grounds. We were given a speech by Nimuel. The 808 received honor in the form of a shield. Being there didn't feel right as I have only been an 808 for a short while and have hardly seen any action.

After the speech Subal asked me if this time I did want to join operation "Thunderstruck?" Within a second I reacted with a very clear "Yes,' saying before I walked away: "You know I like gunfights."

I am now fully geared up and ready to go, finally something else than waiting at the base all the time. Within the hour we will go with a large strike team consisting of soldiers, medics and engineers. I am happy that I got my old commissioned gear back, as this is going to be big.
